His latest film Licorice Pizza (2021) is about young love set in a dreamy version of the San Fernando Valley in the 1970s. Ep 58 - Chinatown (1974)
There are some classic movies people are always telling us to watch that we've somehow managed to never see. Roman Polanski's Chinatown (1974) starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway is one such film. How have we not seen this!? Jason Furie and Adam Roth discuss this iconic mystery film about a private detective hired to expose an adulterer in 1930s L.A. but find himself caught up in something much more corrupt. Drama and cut nostrils ensues.
Bonus Episode #1 - Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars (2022)

Ep 54 - Border (2018)
Border (2018) is a really weird movie. While Jason Furie and Adam Roth both love a good old fashion weird movie, they disagree about how effective this one is. Has anyone seen this movie!? Director Ali Abbasi tells the tale of a customs officer deemed unattractive by the general public who can literally smell fear. She meets a stranger she is immediately attracted two and slowly uncovers the unpredictable truth about her past. Again, this one is weird folks.
Ep 53 - Peacemaker (Season 1)
You want to listen to this one folks as Jason Furie and Adam Roth are in complete disagreement here. Jason loves Peacemaker (Season 1) embracing all the gore, juvenile comedy, and action while Adam could barely get through what he considers just one bad joke repeated over and over throughout the 8 episode run. This series is unfiltered James Gunn and is getting rave reviews across the board. Except for Adam. Adam no like.
Ep 52 - The Last Duel (2021)
Director Ridley Scott has delivered some truly awesome historical epics in the form of Gladiator (2000) and Kingdom of Heaven (2005). At the same time, we've gotten a few stinkers like 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) and Robin Hood (2010). Does his latest period piece The Last Duel (2021) deliver the goods? If you closed your eyes and thought about what it would take to make the most 80's movie ever, we think it would look at lot like To Live and Die in L.A. (1985). Jason Furie and Adam Roth review this cult classic from director William Friedkin starring before-they-were-super-famous versions of William Petersen, Willem Dafoe, and John Turturro. Buddy cop action, check. Jammin' Wang Chung soundtrack, check. Excellent title credits fonts, check. This one has it all folks.

Here we go again. Hold on to your butts. I'm too old for this shit. And by all that I mean that Disney+ is at it again with their fourth live-action MCU series Hawkeye.
